The complete guide to Cool Cats

Cool Cats is an NFT collection that launched back on July 1, 2021.

It’s an NFT collection consisting of 10,000 unique Generation 1 Cool Cats.

There are plans for a second generation of Cool Cats along with more features, such as breeding.

The 10,000 Cool Cats were randomly minted from a pool of 300,000 possible traits, creating the coolest Cool Cats around!

    What are Cool Cats?

The Cool Cats NFT collection is brought to you by Cool Cats LLD and is one of many cat themed NFT collections.

It features 10,000 Cool Cats that were generated from a potential 300,000 traits.

100 of those Cool Cats were reserved for airdrops and giveaways, and 4 Cool Cats were given to staff members.

For now, the Cool Cats NFT is just an NFT, but it comes with a non-exclusive license, so you can do just about anything you want with the Cool Cats that you own.

Whether that’s updating your LinkedIn profile picture or getting a billboard in the middle of Los Angeles, what you can do with your Cool Cats is only limited by your imagination.

There is a second generation of Cool Cats planned, but there’s not much information available about this phase right now.

What we do know is that you’ll be able to breed your Gen 1 Cool Cats to create Gen 2 Cool Cats.

Cool Cats LLC is also planning to create a space for Cool Cats to hang out, which could be a metaverse or a partnership with an existing metaverse.

Cool Cats are worth points, and the more points the cat has, the rarer it is.

This is down to traits assigned to the Cool Cat in question.

So, let’s dive into traits and how the Cool Cats point system works!

How does trait combination impact Cool Cats?

As we all know, traits directly impact the value of NFTs.

Cool Cats implements this system in a really easy to understand way.

Rather than just saying a particular Cool Cat is rare or common, Cool Cats have points.

The more points a Cool Cat has, the rarer it is.

This takes out all the guesswork and allows you to price up your Cool Cat collection quickly and easily.

It also makes the buying process simpler as you know what the fair market value of a particular Cool Cat should be.

The Cool Cat point scale goes from 3 – 10, with 3 being cool and super common to 10 being exotic and super rare.

These points are then grouped into categories of rareness, or coolness as Cool Cats like to call it.

This works out a little like this.

    RangeCoolness/RarityAmount
    3-4Cool4,599
    5-6Wild3,000
    7-8Classy1,750
    9-10Exotic650

As you can see, the cooler, or rare, the Cool Cat is, the less there is of that coolness level.

Certain traits come up less often than others, which leads to the increase in coolness.

For example, only 0.72% of Cool Cats have the Astro Helmet trait, which makes it worth more money than say an Angry Scar which 2% of Cool Cats have.

Interestingly, Blue Skin is considered a trait, yet 100% of Cool Cats have this.

Usually, skin color is considered a trait, but in all the other cases the skin color can be different.

So it’s slightly odd as to why Cool Cats decide to have a single skin color and name it a trait.

Perhaps this is a clue as to what Gen 2 has in store for the Cool Cat universe!

How can you trade Cool Cats?

Now you know how to work out the price of Cool Cats, it’s time to dive into trading them.

Thanks to the coolness meter, you can quickly and easily figure out the true market value of all Cool Cats.

A lot are for sale well above the true market value for their coolness, meaning that it’s hard to find a good option to buy Cool Cats right now.

It’s definitely a Cool Cat seller’s market at the moment, with only 4 Cool Cats currently listed for the fair market value or at a discount.

In order to trade Cool Cats, you’ll need a MetaMask wallet with some Ethereum in it.

Connect your MetaMask wallet up to a NFT marketplace and you can begin buying and selling Cool Cats in an instant.

The Cool Cats market has a 24hr volume of 250.32 ETH, which is not that great as far as NFT collections go.

This means that day trading Cool Cats might be a little tricky.

However, if you don’t mind trading Cool Cats on a longer-term scale, then there’s decent potential to make some NFT cash.

What was the most expensive Cool Cat?

NFTs are selling like hot cakes, and the resale market for them is even more wild.

Cool Cats could be minted back in July for 0.06ETH, but the floor price is now set at 7.2ETH.

The most expensive Cool Cat sale ever to take place was worth 320 ETH.

This Cool Cat was 1 or 9 “hidden” Cool Cats that were created by 2 of the team members in secret.

There are 8 others out there and will likely sell for the same, if not more.

The Cool Cat that sold for 320ETH is Cool Cat #1490 and will certainly make you shriek if it catches you unaware!

There is a Cool Cat up for sale for 10,110 ETH, and is an exotic tier Cool Cat.

However, a lot of its traits are owned by more than 1% of all other cats, which is a little less rare than some of the others out there.

Where can I find Cool Cats for sale?

Gen 1 Cool Cats have all been minted, meaning the only way to get your hands on Cool Cats is through an NFT marketplace.

There will also be a handful of airdrops through special Cool Cats events, but these are extremely hard to come by and there’s no guarantee.

So, your best bet is to head on over to the hottest NFT marketplaces and snap up a few Cool Cats for yourself.

OpenSea has virtually all of the Cool Cats that are currently up for sale, meaning that it’s the go-to marketplace if you want to snap up some Cool Cats.

There are a handful listed on other NFT marketplaces, but the selection on these marketplaces is a little thin.

    How to buy Cool Cats?

When you’re ready to buy a Cool Cat, head on over to OpenSea.

Connect up your MetaMask wallet and fill it with enough Ethereum to buy the Cool Cat that you want to buy.

You can either opt to buy instantly at the value the Cool Cat seller has listed, or you can place a bid and hope it gets accepted.

Now, the right move here really depends on you and the Cool Cat that you want to buy.

If it’s an exotic Cool Cat that’s not wildly priced, we’re looking at you Cool Cat #3520, then it might be worth the buy now option.

This means that your bid will be accepted automatically, and the Cool Cat is now yours.

If you do this, then you avoid having to bid and possibly paying a lot more for the same Cool Cat.

On the other hand, if the Cool Cats is wildly priced, you might be able to make a decent offer that the seller will accept.

These are always worth doing, especially if it’s a Cool Cat that you’ve set your heart on.

    Are you a Cool Cat?

There are just 10,000 Cool Cats up for grabs with Gen 1, and they all have the unique blue skin.

Gen 2 is just around the corner and we’re expecting it to be a major even for the Cool Cats universe.

Our best advice here is to set the minting date for Gen 2 on your calendar and make sure that you’re part of the action.

With a metaverse coming shortly after Gen 2’s launch as well as breeding, which hints at some sort of yield generation from Cool Cats, it’s certainly a party that you don’t want to miss out on!

  • CrypToadz

    CrypToadz

    cryptoadz nft banner

    The complete guide to CrypToadz

CrypToadz is a funky NFT collection brought to the world by Gemplin.

It features 6,969 unique frog themed NFTs

The collection comes with a unique and, ahem, moving backstory into the CrypToadz universe.

Today we’re exploring the CrypToadz universe and teaching you everything there is to know about this young and promising NFT collection!

    What are CrypToadz?

CrypToadz is one of the newest NFT collections, having launched in September 2021.

The CrypToadz NFT collection is made up of 6,969, yes, ha ha, unique frog NFTs.

The backstory of the collection is wild, but exciting.

It can get lengthy, so we’re going to give you the abridged version.

The story goes that the CrypToadz used to live happily in a land known as Uniswamp, until one day the evil king Gremplin descended upon the kingdom.

Gremplin then enslaved all the CrypToadz and renamed the kingdom, Grempland.

With his army of Fronkz, Gremplin quickly stole power and captured all remaining CrypToadz.

Your goal was to mint as many CrypToadz as possible, freeing them, from Gremplin’s evil grips.

As far as backstories go, this has got to be one of the best out there.

There are 6,969 unique CrypToadz, each with a crazy set of traits.

CrypToadz minted for 0.069 ETH each, and are now retailing for 5.5 ETH each.

    What are CrypToadz traits?

All good NFT collections come packing a series of traits, and the CrypToadz are no exception to the rule.

So, let’s take a look at the various CrypToadz traits that you can find.

Each CrypToadz can have anywhere between 1 and 7 traits, which all vary in rarity.

These traits include the likes of accessories, backgrounds, bodies, clothes, eyes, heads and mouths.

Ghostly traits are the rarest, which means any CrypToadz with these types of traits tend to be worth a lot more money.

But for the most part, other traits are usually in the 400 copies range, meaning that they’re pretty common.

The traits change how the CrypToadz look, rather than giving them unique powers and abilities for NFT games.

How does trait combination impact CrypToadz Value?

As we mentioned earlier, each CrypToadz trait set has a different mint value.

This means that some traits are common, while some are super rare.

The ghostly traits are the most sought-after as they come in batches of less than 10.

CrypToadz traits that come in batches of 400 or more are considered to be common and therefore add less value to your CrypToadz.

Generally speaking, CrypToadz with 1 or 7 traits tend to be worth the most money, but this depends on the traits attached to the NFT.

For example, if you have a CrypToadz with 3 ghostly traits, then you have a 1 in a 1,000,000 CrypToadz and it’ll be worth a fortune.

So it all depends on the combination or rarity in the traits attached.

But, if we level the field for a moment and say all the traits are common, 1 and 7 trait CrypToadz will still be worth more.

This rule applies to virtually all NFT collections.

    How can you trade CrypToadz?

All of the CrypToadz NFTs have been minted now, meaning that your only way to trade CrypToadz is through an NFT marketplace

There are plenty of marketplaces that currently list CrypToadz for trading, so you’re pretty spoilt for choice.

Without a doubt, OpenSea has the biggest selection of CrypToadz available for trading, but the average floor price is a bit higher than the global average.

If you want to buy a CrypToadz, you’ll need to place a bid and have it accepted, or hit buy now.

At the time of writing, there are a few CrypToadz up for sale on OpenSea that are well below their potential value when you take the rarity of traits into consideration.

Other than those few, the rest are well above floor price, which means that you’ll be paying a premium.

If you want to sell your CrypToadz, you can list them for sale at any NFT exchange that supports ERC-721 on Ethereum, as that’s the form CrypToadz take.

CrypToadz are not incredibly well traded, meaning that there’s not the same demand and volume that we see with other NFT collections, but they’re still fairly popular in comparison to the rest of the market.

What was the most expensive CrypToadz?

As it stands, the most expensive CrypToadz is currently up for sale for 300,000 ETH.

That’s currently around $1.2 billion for a CrypToadz, which is insane.

If this sells, it will become the most expensive NFT in history.

It would eclipse Beeple’s First 5,000 Days piece that sold for $69 million.

The most expensive CrypToadz to be sold went for 420 ETH and it had a trait that only 0.07% of CrypToadz has.

This means that it’s likely the only CrypToadz to have this trait.

If this is anything to go by, the CrypToadz that’s up for sale for 300,000 ETH will never sell for that price as more CrypToadz have that trait (0.31%).

Where can I find CrypToadz for sale?

CrypToadz are one of the hottest NFT collections right now, despite only being a few months old.

The artwork is spectacular, and the backstory is one of the best we’ve ever seen.

So, if you want to get your hands on your own CrypToadz, then you’re going to need to head to the number 1 NFT marketplace – OpenSea.

OpenSea has the best range of CrypToadz for sale, and there are some great deals to be had.

There are plenty of common, rare and ultra-rare CrypToadz available at OpenSea

So if you’re looking for CrypToadz for sale, then you’ll want to head to OpenSea for the best range!

    How to buy CrypToadz?

When you’re ready to buy your first CrypToadz NFT, you’ll want to head on over to OpenSea.

They have the best range of CrypToadz for sale.

Begin by connecting your MetaMask wallet to the website, which is done with just a few clicks.

You can then browse their entire CrypToadz collection and find a CrypToadz that you like the look of.

Most will have a bid option so that you can offer just below market value.

With any luck, you’ll be able to score a nice deal on your new CrypToadz.

On the other hand, if you can’t wait for your bid to get accepted or the auction to end, you can opt to buy now.

If you use the buy now feature, you’ll pay the price that the seller is asking.

If the CrypToadz in question have some rare features or are sought-after, you could score a deal.

But you could also end up paying well above market value.

For example, there’s a CrypToadz up for sale for 300,000 ETH, but it’s not currently worth more than 400 ETH.

Opting to hit buy now on this CrypToadz NFT would be a bad idea.

CrypToadz will make you croak with laughter!

CrypToadz is one of the coolest NFT collections that we’ve seen in quite some time.

The backstory is incredible, and the art really is superb.

The artist behind CrypToadz has waived all copyright claims, meaning that they can then be incorporated into anything you can imagine.

Whether a Play2Earn game picks up CrypToadz and adds them or perhaps LinkedIn adds a CrypToadz feature, it’s all possible thanks to this flexibility.

If you’re after a hot and new NFT collection, CrypToadz is well worth exploring!

  • Beeple Everydays

    Beeple Everydays

    Beeple everydays NFT

    The complete guide to Beeple

Beeple is arguably the most well-known NFT artist in the world.

His works have sold for millions of dollars, and there’s no sign of the Beeple hype dropping off anytime soon.

But, who is Beeple and why are his NFTs worth so much money?

Let’s meet Beeple and explore the world that Beeple has created!

    Who is Beeple?

Beeple, real name Mike Winkelmann, is a graphic designer living in the USA.

He does a wide range of digital artwork, including the likes of short films, VJ loops, everydays and VR/AR pieces.

When he’s not working on his everydays, he does work for some of the biggest names in the world, such as SpaceX, Apple, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Imagine Dragons, Nicki Minaj, Skrillex, Deadmau5 and Katy Perry.

Beeple started our sketching and hand-drawing, but has since moved on to more advanced computer tools.

He has a talent for using Cinema 4D, Photoshop, Illustrator and Octane Render.

Beeple began his everyday series back on May 1, 2011, and hasn’t missed a single day since.

He began selling his everydays as NFTs for $1 each, which were quickly snapped up.

After this, he combined the first 5,000 days’ worth of everydays and sold it at Christies for $69 million.

Beeple is well known for being down to earth and incredibly relaxed.

His descriptions on his NFTs often contain profanities and are incredibly relatable.

This helps to increase his profile and awareness as people feel that they can relate to him.

He carries this attitude and mannerisms into the interviews and talks that he gives.

    What is a Beeple NFT?

A Beeple NFT is a piece of artwork or short video that Beeple has created and sold on an NFT marketplace.

These NFTs rose to fame when he sold a batch of his everydays for $1.

But now, Beeple commands a far higher price when he launches NFTs.

These NFTs are visually appealing and often incredibly controversial, but that’s what makes a Beeple NFT so exciting.

These NFTs are composed in Cinema 4D, Photoshop, Illustrator and Octane Render, giving them a futuristic look.

Beeple has an impressive range, going from politics and crypto to the planet and environment.

The Beeple NFTs cover just about every topic that you can imagine.

But, Beeple remains humble and sees his work as trash.

This is down to the fact that he spends around 3 hours per day making these everyday NFTs.

Nonetheless, the work is still incredible, and people snap up Beeple NFTs like hotcakes.

How are Beeple’s NFTs different from others?

On the surface, Beeple’s NFTs might seem like most of the other NFT artwork out there.

    But, it’s not.

It’s incredibly unique thanks to one incredible feature – you get a physical NFT box.

This came about when he was asked what makes his NFTs different from the art he posts on Instagram.

The physical NFT includes a digital frame that plays your NFT on repeat, a stylish case to store everything in and a holographic QR code that you can scan to reveal the current owner.

Currently, Beeple is the only NFT artist to offer this kind of service, and it’s a nice touch!

Can you use a Beeple NFT for anything?

Some NFTs give you access to unique content, some are characters for games, and some are just artwork.

Beeple’s NFTs are just artworks, unfortunately, meaning that you cannot race them or use them in games.

But, Beeple has tried his best to make his NFTs more usable than others on the market.

You can currently display your Beeple NFT in certain virtual worlds, such as Sominium

Also, you get the physical NFT, meaning that you can display that in your home, office or entertainment area just like you could real art.

Beeple is making the art NFTs come to life and give them more purpose than ever before.

Some would even go as far as saying that Beeple is a pioneer in the art NFT space.

    What’s a Beeple Everyday?

Beeple’s everyday range is without a doubt the most iconic NFT range the world has ever seen.

Quite simply, Beeple creates a new artwork every single day and he has done this since May 1, 2011.

He’s never missed a day and has no plans to stop this any time soon.

He began by selling these for $1 each on MakersPlace, where the site crashed due to the volume of traffic.

Beeple will pick a theme and then run with it for months, or even a whole year, with all of his everydays taking on this theme.

Typically, Beeple spends 3 hours a day making his everyday for that day.

He then combines these into collections and sells them as a run of 100.

Beeple’s most expensive NFT, The First 5,000 Days, was a combination of the first 5,000 days of his everydays.

This sold for $69 million and it’s likely that this would sell for a lot more money if it ever went up for sale again.

Beepke’s everydays are the most sought-after NFTs in the world right now.

What’s the most expensive Beeple NFT?

Determining the most expensive Beeple NFT is a little tricky as they’re exchanging hands all the time.

We’ve seen resales of Beeple NFTs fetch thousands of times the original sale price, but we’re going to focus on the price of NFTs sold by Beeple himself.

In this case, The First 5,000 Days takes the top spot, selling for $69 million at Christie’s auction house.

It was the first digital piece of art to ever sell at the auction house, breaking multiple records on the same day.

The resale market is incredibly strong, however.

A lot of Beeple’s $1 drop of NFTs are selling for tens of thousands of dollars, which is an incredible markup.

How can you buy a Beeple NFT?

If you want to buy a Beeple NFT, you’ll either need deep pockets or to be incredibly fast.

Beeple drops his latest NFTs through his collection portal, where you can log in and place bids.

But due to the popularity of his work, these are all snapped up pretty quickly.

If you’re not fortunate enough to get your hands on one of these, you’ll have to head to the various NFT marketplaces

On these marketplaces you’ll end up paying a lot more money for the same NFT, but a Beeple is worth the cost.

Think of buying a Beeple like buying tickets to see your favorite band.

If you’re not on the website at the right time, all the tickets will be sold out and you’re left looking for tickets from scalpers.

Beeple is one of the most popular NFT artists in the world, so you can expect high competition.

NiftyGateway and OpenSea often get Beeple NFTs up for sale, but they’re at a greatly inflated price.

So, either you’ve got to have a quick trigger finger or be happy to pony up a small fortune if you want to buy a Beeple NFT.

Beeple is the hottest NFT artist around!

Beeple is without a doubt the hottest NFT artist around at the moment.

He’s the 3rd most expensive living artist in the world as well.

This is a massive feat and as time goes on, he’s only going to improve on that record.

Beeple’s are the most sought after NFTs in the world, with people dropping millions of dollars to get one.

His art style and humility help him stand out as a fantastic artist, even if his artwork is controversial.

Nothing is off limits for Beeple, and we’re excited to see where this attitude takes him going forwards!

  • CryptoPunks

    CryptoPunks

    cryptopunks nft

    The complete guide to CryptoPunks

CryptoPunks are regarded as one of the first NFTs to land on the Ethereum blockchain.

As a result, CryptoPunks are the most sought-after NFTs and fetch hundreds of thousands when they hit the auctions

But what are CryptoPunks NFTs and when did they come around?

We’re going to teach you everything there is to know about CryptoPunks, including where you can buy some!

    What are CryptoPunks?

CryptoPunks were randomly generated by a bunch of code way back in 2017.

This created 10,000 unique CryptoPunks that you see in circulation today.

The developers, LarvaLabs, kept the first 1,000 and then gave away the other 9,000 for FREE.

    That’s right.

They gave away 9,000 CryptoPunks for free…

Anyone with an Ethereum address could claim a CryptoPunk, and 9,000 lucky folks did just this.

But, there is a slight issue with CryptoPunks and their origin story – they were created before ERC-721 tokens existed.

This means that they’re ERC-20 tokens.

At the moment, NFT marketplaces only support ERC-721 tokens, meaning that they cannot naturally trade like other NFTs.

So, LarvaLabs allows you to buy and sell CryptoPunks directly from their website.

You can wrap CryptoPunks into ERC-721 if you really want to sell them on another NFT marketplace, but it’s not efficient and is a bit of a nightmare.

CryptoPunks are seen as the OG NFTs due to the fact that they were created before the ERC-721 standard, and that’s a pretty good reason to consider them the OGs.

Each CryptoPunk is totally unique, but they share various attributes.

The less attributes a CryptoPunk has, the more valuable they are.

The same goes for Punks with 7 traits.

So, let’s explore CryptoPunk traits and what they mean for the value of a CryptoPunk!

    What are CryptoPunk traits?

This can get rather nuanced, so we’re going to try and make this as simple to understand as possible – we promise!

Every CryptoPunk NFT has what’s known as traits.

These are the types of hair, the types of hats, the types of glasses, the skin color and even the race.

CryptoPunks can have up to 7 traits, but they can have as few as 0.

These are all randomly generated, so you can’t customize your own CryptoPunk.

There are 4 different species of Punk, and each species has a different number in existence.

SpeciesNumber in existenceAverage sale priceCheapest available
    Alien9$17 million$144 million
    Ape24$9 million$77 million
    Zombie88$8 million$9 million
    Female3,840$350,000$374,000
    Male6,039$400,000$390,000

As you can see, the fewer the Punks of a certain species, the more valuable the Punk is.

Then you have all of the other traits that are available.

There are hundreds of traits that range from moles and beanies to buck teeth and a top hat.

These can appear in any random combination, but some traits are gender specific.

For example, only males can have a hoodie or beanie, while only females can have orange side mohawk or red mohawk.

    Why does this happen?

It was pure randomness from the code LarvaLabs created.

Generally speaking, those with 1 or 6 traits tend to be the most valuable, but it depends on the traits as some are more common than others.

And that brings us on to the next part, how the combination of traits impact the CryptoPunks’s value.

How does trait combination impact CryptoPunk Value?

So, now you know the basics of the traits from the CryptoPunk NFT world, it’s time to explain how different traits impact the price.

Each trait occurs a number of times, and this was randomized when the punks were created.

For example, there are only 44 CryptoPunks with beanies, but there are 2,459 with earrings.

So, a CryptoPunk with a beanie is more valuable than a Punk with an earring as it’s a scarcer trait.

As we already mentioned, the number of traits on a Punk also has an impact on a price.

Let’s take a look at that right now.

Number of traitsNumber in existenceAverage sale priceCheapest available
    08$2 million$16.45 million
    1333$530,000$558,000
    23,560$450,000$409,000
    34,501$370,000$386,000
    41,420$350,000$411,000
    5166$700,000$586,000
    611$2.7 million$6.17 million
    71N/AN/A

In the case of the Punk with 7 traits, it’s the only one in existence.

It last sold in 2020 for 85ETH, which is $349,000.

If this was sold today, it would easily fetch more than $10 million.

So, as you can see, the top and bottom ends of the trait count tend to be worth the most money to collectors.

    How can you trade CryptoPunks?

As we mentioned earlier, CryptoPunks were created well before ERC-721 tokens were invented.

This means that NFT marketplaces don’t natively support CryptoPunks.

So, you have to head on over to LarvaLabs to be able to trade them.

Each CryptoPunk has its own page and you can search based on number of traits, traits and race.

This gives you a quick and easy way to find all the punks that fit your taste, which is arguably easier than using one of the NFT marketplaces.

However, there is one trick you can use, but it’s a bit of a fiddle and nuisance, so it’s not recommended.

But, if you want to go through the hassle of wrapping your CryptoPunk, we’ll give you a quick walkthrough.

You’ll need to use a wrapping tool in order for this to work.

What you do is send your Punk to the wrapped contract where it’ll sit in a sort of escrow wallet.

In return, you’ll be given an ERC-721 which you can then trade like all other NFTs on a marketplace.

Then, when the new owner wants to redeem the ERC-20 punk, they unwrap the token by sending the ERC-721 token to the wrapped contract.

The ERC-721 token is then burnt and the ERC-20 token is sent to the owner.

This is a pretty cool concept as it allows for people to use NFTs in the DeFi space, but that’s a whole different kettle of fish.

    What is a Dev Punk?

Remember when we said that the developers kept the first 1,000 CryptoPunks for themselves?

    Well, these are dev punks!

These are ultra-rare Punks and they sell for a fortune.

You can identify a Dev Punk by its serial number.

Any CryptoPunk with a number less than 1,000 is a Dev Punk.

These don’t come up for sale often, but when they do they’re snapped up quickly.

For example, Punk #999 was wrapped and traded on an NFT marketplace and was sold for just over $500,000.

Given that it has 3 traits which are all average scarcity, it’s safe to say that it traded at well over fair market value.

Dev Punks are hard to find in the wild, so when one goes up for sale, you best move quickly!

What was the most expensive CryptoPunk?

CryptoPunks is possibly the best rags to riches story in the NFT world, with people making millions of dollars from these free NFTs.

In fact, CryptoPunks #7523 sold at auction for a staggering $11.8 million.

It’s 1 of 9 alien punks and features a medical mask, which thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic made this Punk even more desirable.

People go so crazy for CryptoPunks that 6 of the top 15 most expensive NFTs in history are Punks.

As time goes on and we see more rare and super rare CryptoPunks hitting marketplaces, we’ll see all sorts of records broken.

Where can I find CryptoPunks for sale?

Thanks to the complexities of Ethereum and the fact that CryptoPunks are ERC-20 tokens, getting your hands on a Punk can be a bit tricky.

If you want to buy a CryptoPunk, you’ll need to head directly to the LarvaLabs website.

From there, you can browse every single Punk ever created and place a bid on them, even if they’re not for sale.

If the owner likes the bid, you may be able to tempt them into parting with their Punk.

But, if you want to buy a Punk that is actually for sale, you can head to the section where there are just Punks for sale

There’s generally a good selection on sale at any given time, but you’ll need to prepare to open your wallet.

The cheapest punk is currently sitting at $384,540, so you might need to sell your house.

From time to time you may also find CryptoPunks for sale at other NFT marketplaces.

No, these aren’t fakes or scams, they’re wrapped NFTs.

Wrapping is the only way that you can get a Punk onto a regular NFT marketplace.

If you do buy one of these, all you have to do to unwrap the Punk is to send your ERC-721 back to the wrapping contract and you’ll get the original ERC-20 NFT in your wallet seconds later.

    How to buy CryptoPunks?

Once you’ve found a CryptoPunk for sale, you’ll want to make sure that you’ve got enough funds in your wallet. After that, follow these instructions:

    1. transfer Ethereum to your wallet of choice just like you would with any other transaction.
    2. Pair your wallet with the marketplace of choice.
    3. For LarvaLabs, as this is where 99% of all CryptoPunk trades take place, you need to use MetaMask.
    4. Once you load up the LarvaLabs website, you’ll get a notification asking if you want to pair your wallet with the site.
    5. Click accept.
    6. Then, pick a Punk that you want to buy and you can either place a bid that’s lower than the asking price or you can just pay the asking price. The option is yours.
    7. Confirm the transaction fee and if the bid is accepted, the Punk will appear in your wallet moments later.

Congratulations, you just bought your first CryptoPunk!

    CryptoPunks are the OG NFTs!

It’s without a doubt that CryptoPunk NFTs are the OG in the space.

They’re so old that they predate the ERC-721 standard, certifying their OG status.

If you want to stand out from the crowd and look like the king or queen of the crypto world, then you need a CryptoPunk in your collection.

There are plenty to choose from, so pick wisely!
